We have released v1.0.211. This release is about seeing required training through to the end: due dates and a required flag, reminder emails, and a compliance report. It also hardens security and the way we ship.

1. Due dates and a required flag on learning paths
When HR assigns a learning path to a member or a department, you can now set a due date and mark the path as required. A path can also carry a default number of days, so new assignments get a deadline automatically.
Learners see a Required badge and the days remaining on their My Paths page. The card turns yellow as the deadline approaches and red once it has passed.

If the same path reaches a learner both directly and through a department, the earlier deadline applies.
2. Reminder emails, sent automatically
For every path with a deadline, Manabu2 emails the learner once a day at 09:00 JST (00:00 UTC) when a reminder is due.

- Every send is logged, so the same reminder is never delivered twice
- Completed paths receive no reminders
3. Required-training compliance report
HR now has Reports > Compliance, a report of every required path assignment in the organisation.
- Per member: Not started / In progress / Completed / Overdue, with the due date
- Organisation-wide completion rate, plus counts of due-soon and overdue learners
- Download as CSV, Excel or PDF, ready for audits and management reporting
The executive dashboard gains a card with the completion rate and the overdue count, outlined in red whenever anyone is overdue.
4. The same features in the API and MCP
Everything above works from the developer API and from AI clients over MCP, under the same rules as the screen.

5. Security hardening
These changes are already in effect. There is nothing you need to do.
- Material streaming now requires sign-in and membership of the organisation that owns the material
- Uploaded files are stored in cloud storage and are no longer served as static files
- Upload checks are unified: file type is determined from the actual content, not the extension, and files are served with their real type
- Organisation data isolation is now enforced automatically on every query, as a second layer under the existing permission checks
6. Safer releases
- Every change now runs the automated test suite, and nothing reaches production unless it passes
- A release is held automatically if the production database has not yet received the update it needs
- Fixed: some API integrations could not list learning paths (a 500 error) for a period. This is resolved, and the check above prevents the same class of problem from recurring
What comes next
This is the first release of Manabu2 Version 2. Next up: in-app notifications for deadlines, recurring training such as annual refreshers, post-training attestation, and certificate PDFs with expiry dates.
