Reading the HR Dashboard – HR Guide

The HR dashboard is where HR managers go first to see how learning is going across the whole organization. It shows a lot of numbers, but there are only a few you really need to watch. This guide walks through the screen from top to bottom, explaining what each part shows and how to interpret it.

Opening the HR dashboard

After you sign in to the HR portal, Dashboard (ダッシュボード) is the first item in the left sidebar. Click it to open the page. The URL is /en-US/{organization ID}/hr.

The page is titled HR Dashboard (人事ダッシュボード). If the line under the title says the page summarizes employees' learning status, skill maturity, and department comparisons, you're on the right screen.

What's on the screen

KPI cards (the four cards across the top)

Four organization-wide indicators sit side by side. Each one measures something different, so read them together to get a well-rounded picture.

Average learning progress (平均学習進捗)

The average learning-path progress (%) across all employees. Underneath, the card shows the headcount it's based on: "All employees: N" (全社員 N 名). Checking the headcount alongside the average tells you whether a handful of people are skewing the number.

Completions (完了者数)

The number of people who have completed their assigned paths. Underneath, the card shows the total headcount: "Total: N" (全体:N 名).

Average score (平均スコア)

The average path test score, on a scale of 0 to 100.

Department skill gap (部署別スキル差)

The difference, in percentage points, between the average progress of the highest- and lowest-performing departments. The bigger the number, the more uneven progress is across departments.

High average progress combined with a large department skill gap may mean only a few departments are doing the work. Always look at these two numbers together.

Completed lessons trend (six months)

The card below the KPIs, Completed lessons trend (6 months) (完了レッスンの推移(6ヶ月)), shows a line chart of how many lessons were completed each month over the last six months.

  • Horizontal axis: one point per month, labeled relative to today, from "5 months ago" (5ヶ月前) through "Last month" (先月) to "This month" (今月)
  • Vertical axis: the total number of lessons completed that month
  • Legend: "Completed lessons" (完了レッスン数), shown below the chart

A line that climbs to the right means learning activity is picking up. If it's flat or falling, check whether motivation is slipping.

Common tasks

The dashboard numbers are averages. To understand why a number is what it is, you need to drill down into the details.

  1. When a number on the dashboard, such as average learning progress, makes you want to dig deeper, click Learning progress (学習進捗管理) in the left sidebar.
  2. There you can see the average progress for each department and a breakdown by employee.

A wide gap means some department is falling behind. Approach it as finding a team to support, not someone to blame.

  1. If the Department skill gap (部署別スキル差) is large (for example, 30pt or more), open Departments (部署一覧) in the left sidebar.
  2. Compare the Average learning progress (平均学習進捗) on each department card to find the departments that are lagging.
  3. Click that department's View details (詳細を見る) button to see its members.

  1. If the chart is trending down, open Learning progress (学習進捗管理) and check the number of Not yet started (未受講者) employees.
  2. In Employees (社員一覧), set the Learning status (学習ステータス) filter to Not started (未開始) to narrow the list, then follow up with each person individually.
  3. If needed, export a monthly report and share it with department managers (see the Reports (レポート出力) page).

Troubleshooting

Symptom Likely cause and fix
All the KPIs show 0 No employees have been added yet, or nobody has started learning. Add employees in Employees (社員一覧) and assign them learning paths.
The chart is a flat line at zero No lessons have been completed in the last six months yet. Once employees start completing lessons, the line rises in the month they complete them.
The department skill gap stays at 0pt The gap needs at least two departments with members in them. It groups employees by the Department (部署) on their profile, so if fewer than two departments have employees with that filled in, it shows 0pt. Set the department on each employee's edit screen in Employees (社員一覧), or in the department column of a CSV bulk invite. Adding someone with Add member (メンバーを追加) on a department's page is a separate membership that this figure doesn't read.
Some employees aren't included in the KPI numbers Invited employees are counted from the start, at 0% progress, and only removed employees drop out. If someone seems to be missing, check that they are still listed in Employees (社員一覧).
