The word "test" can make anyone a little tense, but tests in Manabu2 aren't there to catch you out. They're there to check that what you've learned has stuck. If you don't pass, you can take the test again, so go in relaxed. This page walks you through where to take tests, which buttons to press, and what happens after you pass or don't.

Quizzes vs. tests
Manabu2 has two kinds of questions for checking what you've learned: quizzes and tests. Once you know the difference, you'll always know where to look.
Short knowledge checks shown right at the end of a lesson. You answer them on the spot, as part of taking the course. They don't appear on the Tests & Quizzes page.
Comprehensive exams that measure how well you've mastered a whole learning path. You'll find them listed under the Tests & Quizzes menu covered on this page. On paths that have a certificate, passing the required tests is what earns you the certificate.
Open your test list
Click Tests & Quizzes in the left sidebar. The URL is /en-US/{organization ID}/user/tests.
The page is titled Tests & Quizzes (テスト・クイズ). The note at the top explains that it lists the tests in the learning paths you're taking, and that quizzes are taken inside each lesson.
What's on the screen (test list)
Tests are grouped into three sections by status. To start with, the tests you still need to take are all you need to look at.
Cards for tests you haven't taken yet. Each card shows:
- The test name (for example, "AI Literacy Basics: Key Terms Check")
- The name of the path it belongs to (which learning path the test is for)
- N questions (N 問) badge: the number of questions
- Pass X% (合格 X%) badge: the passing score
- A black Take test (受験する) button
Tests you started but whose submission didn't go all the way through. They carry an Unfinished (途中) badge, and the button changes to a black Resume (再開する).
Tests you've already submitted. Each one has a result badge.
- Passed (合格, green) or Failed (不合格, red)
- XX%: your latest score
- The button changes to a white View results (結果を見る)
If none of the sections has any tests, you'll see a question icon and a message saying there are no tests available yet (受験可能なテストがまだありません。). This means you aren't taking any paths yet, or your paths don't have any tests.
Common tasks
- In the Tests to take (受験が必要なテスト) section, find the card for the test you want to take.
- Check the number of questions and the passing score on the card (for example, 10 questions / pass 70%). Knowing them up front helps you prepare.
- Click the black Take test (受験する) button.
- The test screen opens (see "Using the test screen" below).
- Interrupted tests are listed in the Tests in progress (進行中のテスト) section.
- Click the black Resume (再開する) button.
- The test screen opens. Your answers weren't saved, so answer from the beginning and submit.
- In the Completed tests (完了済みのテスト) section, find the card for the test whose result you want to see.
- Click the white View results (結果を見る) button to see your latest submission.
- The questions are still shown below the result. If you didn't pass, answer them again and submit to retake the test.
Using the test screen
The URL is /en-US/{organization ID}/user/path/{path ID}/tests/{test ID}. You can also get here from a path's details page: on the Path tests (パステスト) card, click Test list (テスト一覧) to open that path's tests, then click Take test (受験する) — or Retake (再受験する) if you didn't pass, or View results (結果を見る) if you did.
What's on the screen (test screen)
- Test name: the test you're taking (with its description underneath, if it has one).
- Number of questions and passing score: shown as "Questions: N Passing score: X%" (問題数：N 合格ライン：X%). Required tests also carry a Required (必須) badge.
- Back to test list (テスト一覧に戻る) link (at the top): takes you back to the path's test list.
- All the questions are on one page, one card per question, stacked from top to bottom.
- Top: the question, with a "Q1"-style badge.
- Bottom: radio buttons for the answer options. You can pick only one.
There are two buttons at the bottom of the screen. To move between questions, just scroll the page.
- Left: a black Submit test (テストを提出する) button
- Right: a white Cancel (キャンセル) button (goes back to the test list without submitting)
After you submit, your result appears at the top of the same screen: a green Passed! (合格！) or a red Failed (不合格), with your score and the number of correct answers (for example, 7 / 10 correct).
Step by step
- Read the question carefully.
- Click one of the options (the option you choose is highlighted in blue).
- Scroll down to the next question.
- To go back to an earlier question, scroll up. You can change any answer until you submit.
- When you've answered every question, click the black Submit test (テストを提出する) button.
- Your test is scored immediately, and the result appears at the top of the same screen: green if you passed, red if you didn't.
Passing scores and retakes
Passing score
Each test has its own passing score (%), shown in the "Pass X%" badge on its card. For example, with "Pass 70%", you pass if you get 7 out of 10 questions right.
When you pass
If it's a required test, the pass count on the path details page's Path tests (パステスト) card goes up, for example "2 / 3 passed" (2 / 3 合格). On paths with a certificate, your certificate is issued automatically as soon as you've passed all the required tests.
About quizzes (inside lessons)
Lessons in a course can also have a quiz. These are given right on the lesson screen while you're taking the course.
- A quiz section appears at the bottom of the lesson screen.
- Choose your answers and click Submit quiz to send them.
- If you don't pass, answer the quiz on the same screen again and submit — you can retry as many times as you need until you pass.
- When you pass, the lesson is completed and a Passed XX% badge appears next to it in the lesson list on the course details page.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Likely cause and what to do |

| Tests & Quizzes is empty | Either the paths you're taking have no tests, or you haven't joined any path yet. Join a path from My Learning Path or Public Paths. |
| I closed the page in the middle of a test | Answers are sent only when you submit, so anything you chose before closing wasn't saved. There's no timer on the test screen, so take your time: open the test again and answer from the beginning. |
| I didn't pass / I don't agree with my score | You can retake the same test from View results. There's no limit on how many times you can retake it. If you have questions about the questions or the scoring, ask your HR or training team. |
| Clicking Submit test doesn't submit | Some questions are still unanswered. Your browser points out the unanswered question; answer all the questions, then click Submit test again. |
| I can't find a lesson's quiz | Quizzes are at the bottom of each lesson screen. In the lesson list on the course details page, open a lesson with a Quiz badge. |
| I passed, but didn't get a certificate | A certificate is issued automatically only if the path has a certificate set up, and once you've passed the required tests in every path the certificate covers. Check the number of required tests you've passed on the path details page's Path tests card. If the path has no certificate set up, ask your HR or training team. |
